Sea-buckthorn: scientific studies*

Sea-buckthorn, with 200 bioactive substances,  is a powerful source of vitamin C and vitamin E. In addition to impressive levels of these vitamins, sea-buckthorn contains vitamins B1, B2, folic acid, beta-carotene (provitamin A), and vitamine K. It contains carotenoids, flavonoids, phenols, terpenes, minerals, amino acids and unsaturated fatty acids, like omega 3, 6, 9, and 7.  It is also source of superoxide dismutase (SOD), the most powerful antioxidant.

Scientific studies show that berry anthocyanins have many health benefits, including:

  • promoting cardiovascular health and strengthening the heart function

  • eliminating phlegm relieving cough and asthma

  • having anticancer activity and resisting the cancer cell in the human body

  • reparing and renewing cells, tissus and organs

  • improving the condition of gastric and duodenal ulcer and treating the intestines of various inflammations and dysentery

  • relieving the toxicity of antibiotic and other medicines to liver

  • enhancing brain health and memory retention

  • helping in keeping cholesterol levels normal

  • treating ophthalmologic diseases.
